As part of our expanding VAG product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our enlarged turbo inlet elbow upgrade for the MQB Evo engine (300-320ps), suitable for track or fast road use. Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, we've created a comprehensive solution to improving the car's original pipework to allow more flow and capacity whilst reducing restriction and improving response. The comprehensive 8-piece kit features three pipes constructed from lightweight aluminium for improved strength so they will not fail with higher boost pressure as well as five Pro Hoses silicone joiners/hoses to make fitting as simplistic as possible. For the cold side from the intercooler to the throttle body, the original pipework begins at 60mm and tapers to 58mm in diameter, but our replacement features a 70mm internal diameter throughout until it meets the throttle body, increasing both flow and capacity. On the hot side coming from the turbo to the intercooler, the original pipework measures 60mm where as our kit features a 63mm internal diameter from start to finish with no restrictions.
It also does away with the original resonator, which VW fits to reduce noise but removing it improves flow, capacity and noise. The kit requires no additional drilling or cutting to fit and comes complete with all the correct fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed instructions. A must have for any modified Mk8 Golf R models to help the improve the boost pipework's flow and efficiency. ONLY FITS WITH AIRTEC MOTORSPORT INTERCOOLER UPGRADE. OEM COLD SIDE PIPE: 60mm.
